A3bi is an importing company specialized in wines from Spain.

Based in Charleston, SC and founded by a Spaniard that moved to the US in 2004, we strive to be of great help as a liaison between people's glass and fantastic wine.

David is passionate about food and believes that there is nothing better than a good meal with friends and family. Yet most of the fun of that meal is putting together the ingredients and cooking the plates.

The same goes for wine and its creating process. It is a very unique industry. The journey from the soil to the glass is fascinating, all of it with one single goal: making that sip an enjoyable moment.

We are here to help along that journey.

With strong finance background and years of corporate experience in multinational companies we will take care of the most less joyful parts of the business too.

Why Spanish wines?

Wine in Spain can be traced back to 1,100 BC when the Phoenicians planted vines in what today is known as the Sherry region. Wine eventually became part of everyday life in Spain. 

A number of changes at home and an increasing presence in the international spotlight have fostered an impressive revolution since the mid 1980's. More has happened since then than in any period in time.

While long-established regions continue to cement their reputations, new modernized regions previously unknown to the international public keep popping up with their wineries getting impressive reviews and prizes all over the world.

When the Vino de Pago distinction was introduced to recognize acclaimed single state wines, the first winery awarded with it was in an area that had never been considered to have high-quality wines.

Spanish wine is not only known for having great high-end wines but also for delivering great value at any price range.

Orographic and climate differences coupled with the different grape varietals produce a wide variety of wines.
